We're looking for an experienced hospitality leader to shape the success of ACE Pizza’s first bricks-and-mortar restaurant. This is a unique opportunity to build a thriving community hub and foster an outstanding team culture. Join us prior to first service and help build the team and systems ahead of launch.

As General Manager, you'll oversee the smooth and successful running of the venue, working in close collaboration with the Head Chef. While the key responsibilities are outlined below, flexibility and a hands-on approach are essential in this dynamic role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Nurture exceptional standards in food, drink, service and guest experience

  • Build and develop a high-performing team in line with ACE Pizza’s values

  • Lead on day-to-day operations, including stock control, ordering, and loss prevention

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, licensing, and food hygiene regulations

  • Monitor and maintain the venue, identifying and resolving any operational issues promptly and within budget

  • Manage both Front of House & Back of House teams, fostering a strong, collaborative culture

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff across all departments, handling rotas, leave and individual performance

  • Engage with financial and sales data to enable growth, including P&L, cost control, and budgeting

  • Ensure accurate cashing up, financial recording, and banking procedures

  • Liaise with local authorities (Hackney Council, EHO, local police)

  • Oversee reservations and private hire, ensuring smooth execution and client satisfaction

  • Drive sales and customer engagement through events, marketing, and promotions

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within hospitality

  • Ability to manage both FOH & BOH teams, with a hands-on leadership approach

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a positive, can-do attitude

  • Passion for pizza, drinks, and delivering incredible guest experiences

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets

  • Comfortable working with all stakeholders, from customers to suppliers and local authorities

  • Able to work under the demands of company directors who provide autonomy but remain actively involved

  • Right to live and work in the UK
