Can you play host, lead the floor and deliver a perfect guest experience?

We're looking for an experienced restaurant Supervisor who thrives on the busy periods. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring the good ship ACE Pizza runs like a well-oiled machine. This role supports the General Manager and Assistant Manager in leading a vibrant dining environment, alongside support for our Bar Manager (some experience on the bar is desirable). How we look after our guests is key to our success, and that starts with a floorteam that’s organised, energised, and always attentive.

📍 Location: Victoria Park, Hackney, London.
💰 Pay: Up to £19 per hour (London Living Wage employer + tronc)
👩 Reports To: General Manager, Assistant Manager
⏰ Hours: Up to 45 hours per week, flexible shifts, evening and weekends standard

As Supervisor, you’ll lead by example on the floor, driving service standards, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. While the key responsibilities are outlined below, flexibility and a"sleeves-up" approach are essential in this dynamic role.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead by example to promote exceptional standards in service, table side manner, and the overall guest journey.

• Run the floor during busy shifts, managing the seating plan, overseeing the daily brief sheet and ensuring a smooth flow between the kitchen and the dining room.

• Provide expert menu knowledge, guiding guests through our pizza offerings, specials, and drink pairings with passion.

• Support on bar-related stock, including cellaring, batching, deliveries, inventory control, and minimising wastage, in collaboration with the Bar Manager.

• Train and mentor junior waiting staff, fostering their development.

• Support day-to-day operations, including opening/closing checklists, accurate cashing up, and shift handovers.

• Handle guest feedback, ensuring everyone leaves wanting to come back.

• Operate as a Duty Manager for the Front of House team, core key-holder, and responsible person in the absence of senior management.
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a busy, high-quality bar/restaurant environment (Senior Waiter or existing Supervisor level).

• Natural leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team during a high-pressure Saturday night rush.

• A passion for hospitality and a genuine love for great pizza and the local community.

• Excellent communication skills, whether you're talking to a regular, a supplier, or the kitchen team.

• Organisational nous and problem solving skills — you can spot a wobbly table or a slow drink from across the room and fix it before the guest notices.
